A rainy day out at Garosu-gil, Sinsa-dong

One rainy Sunday evening, I  visited Garosu-gil (가로수길) street located at Sinsa-dong. Gangnam-gu, Seoul (신사역-강남구 서울). The word garosu-gil literally means  literally means "tree-lined street". I was advised to go there during the day time, however, due to certain reasons I was able to visit at evening time. Surprisingly, the street termed as "tree-lined street" changed its perception and turned into a "rain cum romantic place" same as streets in Paris. The coffee shops with cozy outdoor seating placement let people enjoy the soft pouring rain with wonderful view of street under lights! Many people claim that this area is similar to Soho in New York or European street [reference: Wikipedia].

Rain has wiped out all the dust!
It was start of spring season in Korea and cherry blossoms were not yet visible around Seoul. However, weather was getting warm and subsequently people were putting on spring clothes!
The most attractive featured of Garosu-gil street were beautiful gingko trees, which turn a brilliant golden color in autumn, tons of cozy cafes, restaurant, bars and designers shops.

Garosu-gil street is good place to visit on weekends. This coffee shops presents a futuristic design having outdoor seating arrangements for enjoying both chit chat with friends and panoramic view of street at the same time! The designer shops are picturesquely situated on the street where people can buy fashionable clothes!

In contrast to Hongdae (홍대) which attracts exuberant youth, the the couples who wanna experience romantic walk, talk and shopping are more inclined to visit Garosu-gil street.

The street looks so romantic with soft rain!

Restaurant: School Food

View of street at night time

In short, Garosu-gil street is contemporary and modern place to visit and experience the finest and relaxing time in Gangnam district.
