TED Worldwide Talent Search @Seoul, May 23, 2012

From Doha to Nairobi, Shanghai to Bangalore, New York to Amsterdam, TED is holding worldwide talent search auditions in 14 cities around the world. In this respect, the amazing Seoul city was honored to be one of the host of TED team!! The passionate TEDx Ambassadors in Korea (Victor Choi from TEDxMyeongdong, David Choo from TEDxItaewon, and Han Ryu fromTEDxSeoul) were anticipating a great response from enthusiastic TED lovers in Korea. To their surprise, 400 seats were taken away soon after registration was opened. What can you expect from the people of city who never sleeps ??

There were 19 speakers , mostly Koreans, who were invited to give auditions. Few of them had already given talks at local TEDx events in Korea. Venue chosen for TED@Seoul event was impressive. It was multipurpose hall in shinning and glorious Samsung building location in downtown Gangnam area.
As we all gathered and seated in hall, Chris Anderson commenced event saying : "Its time for TED"

It was also wonderful opportunity for TEDx organizers in Korea to meet together and revive their spirits. They were given chance to host the event, which is indeed an honor and privilege. To get the ball rolling, first speaker talked about use of 5 senses while designing a product etc.

Most of the speakers were currently residing in South Korea except one speaker who came from neighboring country.

Jiheun Yoo , TEDxKAIST License and Curator

David Choo , TEDxItaewon Licensee/Curator, TEDxAmbassador in Korea
One of the speakers introduced an interesting game to audience. It was fun since all of attendees participated in it, though the final requirement of "541 in a group" wasn't full-filled :)

The most exciting event for attendees started soon after break. Yes, it is TEDYou time!! Take a deep breath, come to stage, and speak-up your thoughts for 30 secondssss. The question to answer  was " What Seoul can give to World, and what Seoul can take from World?"

Sabrin, TEDxItaewon organizer. The very first TEDYou speaker!!

The youngest speaker on TED@ Seoul stage was a young boy whose hobby was making bows!!

Wait for video of this talk!! BOWTOPIA~

2 out of 19 speakers talked about North Korea, that was fascinating .
